Our serve weekend day was spent helping a homeless shelter rebuild their garden and sitting area. We planted trees, cleaned out weeds, painted a fence, assembled new furniture and purchased new gardening supplies.
My kids felt so proud to be helping others in the name of Jesus. God Bless You for creating this opportunity.

Every year I challenge myself to serve in a great capacity. Serve Weekend is a great way to share our gifts with others. Others are reaping the benefits though I receive "Amazing" Joy and satisfaction. Last year I assisted in revamping the Computer Room at Whittier First Day. This room is an invaluable tool to those transitioning back into mainstream society.
